The BROWNFIELD - BYRNE QUINTET

Described by the Guardian's Dave Gelly as “crisp, polished and full of life, playing some of
the tastiest tunes from the days of bebop, swing and even before”, BBQ is led by two
young leading lights from North Wales, JAMIE BROWNFIELD (trumpet) and LIAM BYRNE
(tenor sax). With a repertoire drawing on the Blue Note era of the 40s and 50s, classic
Duke Ellington, John Kirby and more, the band enjoys great success at jazz festivals and
clubs throughout the UK and is the ideal start to a new year of jazz in the Wrexham area.
With ANDY HULME (guitar), ED HARRISON (double bass), and JACK COTTERILL (drums)
