Brownfield - Byrne Hot Six

With the Hot Six, once bebop purists Liam Byrne & Jamie Brownfield have turned their attention to earlier jazz styles, taking inspiration from Bix and Tram rather than Bird and Dizzy. Appearing at jazz clubs and festivals throughout the UK, the Hot 6 performs the kind of jazz that really swings, playing everything from New Orleans through the Tin Pan Alley classics and the swing era, to mainstream jazz recalling the classic small groups of the 1930s.
