Bydd y pianydd Harry Bolt, un o sêr ifanc byd jazz Prydain a chyn-aelod o’r enwog Clark Tracey Quintet, yn arwain y band cyffrous hwn sy’n cynnwys y feiolinydd meistrolgar Joe Garner mewn perfformiad yn Theatr Clwyd yn dilyn nosweithiau llawn-dop yng nghlybiau jazz Ronnie Scott a Pizza Express yn Llundain.

Graddiodd HARRY BOLT o’r Trinity Laban Conservatoire yn Greenwich ar ôl ennill yr

Hamburg Improvisation Award yno ddwywaith. Yna, treuliodd dair blynedd gyda’r enwog Clark Tracey Quintet, gan deithio Prydain a recordio dau CD a blesiodd y beirniaid, y ddau’n cael pum seren yn Jazzwise Magazine.

Mae Harry’n perfformio’n rheolaidd yn llawer o lefydd jazz gorau Llundain ac mae wedi ymddangos mewn nifer o wyliau jazz ym Mhrydain fel rhai Cheltenham ac Ynys Wyth. Mae hefyd wedi chwarae gyda cherddorion jazz blaenllaw fel y basydd Dave Holland a’r sacsoffonydd Mark Turner. Dramor, mae wedi perfformio yng nghlwb jazz Ferrara yn yr Eidal a chlwb jazz enwog Smalls yn Efrog Newydd.

Gall Harry amrywio’i arddull yn hawdd a llithrig, gan chwarae jazz ffyrnig, ymosodol neu roi ei stamp ei hun ar faled swynol yn osgeiddig a chynnil. Beth bynnag yw’r arddull, mae Harry’n ei chyflwyno’n egnïol, yn llawn enaid a chalon. Ymhlith y rhai sydd wedi dylanwadu arno mae Brad Meldau, Joey DeFrancesco, Peter Bernstein a Fred Hersch ac mae ei nosweithiau llawn-dop mewn nifer o glybiau jazz ardderchog yn ddiweddar yn dangos ei fod yn un o brif bianyddion ac arweinwyr bandiau jazz ifanc Prydain.

Cymerodd JOHN GARNER y ffidil yn saith oed ac aeth ymlaen i raddio o'r Coleg Brenhinol Cerdd gyda gradd anrhydedd dosbarth cyntaf, yna cwblhaodd ei astudiaethau ôl-raddedig mewn ffidil jazz yn Ysgol Cerdd a Drama Guildhall.

Wedi'i ysgogi gan awydd i wthio ffiniau ei offeryn, mae John yr un mor drawiadol p'un a yw fideo ffilmiol jazz a babop neu egwyddor chwarae gyda cherddorfeydd enwog, ac mae ei dalent wedi ei gymryd ledled y byd i leoliadau dathlu, gan gynnwys Llundain Wigmore Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, Synagog o Novi Sad a'r Auditorio

Nacional de Música yn Madrid. Yn ogystal â arwain ei fand ei hun, mae John hefyd yn aelod o'r grŵp cerddoriaeth siambr, The Gaustalla Quartet sydd, ym myd lledaenu jazz ac arddulliau clasurol, wedi ymuno yn lluoedd gyda Thriwd Kate Williams dan yr enw 'Four plus Three', ac yn ddiweddar wedi ei berfformio i glod mawr yng Nghlwb Jazz 606 Llundain.

Aelodau eraill yr Harry Bolt Quartet yw NICK JURD (dwbl bas) enillydd gwobr Cerddor Jazz Ifanc y Musicians' Company yn 2015, a’r drymiwr ifanc dawnus, EUAN PALMER.

Pianist Harry Bolt, a young star of British Jazz and former member of the renowned Clark Tracey Quintet, leads this thrilling band which features virtuoso violinist Joe Garner, and which comes to Theatr Clwyd following sell-out performances at both London's Ronnie Scott's and Pizza Express jazz clubs.

HARRY BOLT graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire in Greenwich as a two-time winner of its Hamburg Improvisation Award, after which he spent three years with the renowned Clark Tracey Quintet, touring the UK and recording two critically-acclaimed CDs, each awarded five stars in Jazzwise Magazine.

A regular performer at many prestigious London venues Harry has also appeared at numerous UK festivals including Cheltenham and the Isle Of Wight, and has played with leading figures in jazz like bassist Dave Holland and saxophonist Mark Turner. Internationally, he has performed at the Ferrara Jazz Club in Italy and the famous Smalls Jazz Club in New York City.

Whether engaging in the fiercest hard-bop jousting or putting his stamp on a melodic ballad with measured grace, subtlety and ease, Harry's style is energetic, soulful and full of heart. With influences including Brad Meldau, Joey DeFrancesco, Peter Bernstein and Fred Hersch, his recent sell-out performances at some of the UK's most prestigious jazz clubs further signify his stature as one of the country's leading young jazz pianists and band leaders.

“His playing just knocked me out” - Clark Tracey.

JOHN GARNER took up the violin at the age of seven and went on to graduate from the

Royal College of Music with a first class honours degree, then completed his postgraduate studies in jazz violin at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Driven by a desire to push the boundaries of his instrument, John is equally impressive whether improvising jazz and bebop or playing principle violin with famous orchestras, and his talent has taken him all over the world to celebrated venues including London’s Wigmore Hall, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Synagogue of Novi Sad and the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.

As well as leading his own band John is also a member of the chamber music group, The

Gaustalla Quartet which, in a successful crossover of jazz and classical styles, has joined forces with the Kate Williams Trio under the name 'Four plus Three', and recently performed to great acclaim at London's 606 Jazz Club.

Completing the Harry Bolt Quartet is NICK JURD (double bass), winner of the 2015 Musicians' Company's Young Jazz Musician Award, plus the gifted, young EUAN PALMER (drums).
