Dave specialised in baritone influenced by the cool West Coast sound of Gerry Mulligan. He was jazz soloist with the renowned Merseyside Big Band for ten years, and has guested and recorded with, and arranged for, many other outfits including the North Wales group the Jazz Heralds Octet, which has twice given an acclaimed performance at Northop Music Festival.
