Performing at numerous Jazz festivals up and down the country he has also advised on up and coming talent as a member of the Manchester Jazz Festival panel, and for many years has hosted countless jam sessions, showcasing newcomers to the Manchester jazz scene. One of the highlights of this time was an evening at the popular Mattand Phred’s Jazz Club in Manchester when his quartet was joined by several members of the world-renowned Wynton Marsalis Lincoln Centre Orchestra.

The quartet is now his primary focus, and with influences from Dexter Gordon to Joshua Redman, and Charlie Parker to Keith Jarrett he promises to deliver a healthy chunk of mainstream hard, swinging jazz with a hint of the contemporary, but always a good tune. The other members or the band are George King (keyboards),
John Sandham (bass guitar) and Myke Wilson (drums).
