The autumn season of weekly jazz concerts at the Royal British Legion, Llay, Wrexham comes to an end on Tuesday 3 December when the annual Christmas Celebration Jam Session takes place.


The North Wales Jazz Christmas concert is always thoroughly enjoyable, and will be the last event until February.

Jazz lovers can be assured of hearing great music from guest musicians and sitters-in, typically including sax, trumpet, guitar and vocals, accompanied by the keyboards, guitar, double bass and drums of the North Wales Jazz Quartet. There will be free mince pies and crackers and a grand raffle on offer as well.


The music begins at 8-30pm and admission is £6.50, concessions £5.50, with a special rate of £3 for school children and sitters-in.


North Wales Jazz is currently planning an exciting programme of events for the New Year beginning with another keynote concert at

Clwyd Theatr Cymru, which takes place on Tuesday 4 February, when one of the UK's finest big bands, the Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra will be appearing at the theatre. Tickets will be available soon and jazz lovers are advised to book early!


An extremely varied programme of weekly concerts at the

Royal British Legion commences on Tuesday 11 February, whilst another highlight on next year’s jazz calendar will be the bi-annual North Wales International Jazz Guitar Weekend, to be held at Wrexham’s Glyndwr University in the spring.
